Roleplaying a Giant

First Post
Hello again

Well then, I've been preping for a new campaign with some friends, when I mentioned an old idea of mine I always wanted to try, the Aforementioned Roleplaying of a Frost Giant.

My DM is fine with it, but sent me a few problems I would need to work through to pull this off.

One: Size, how do I fit in dungeons for long periods of time?.......This is the most important, and I'm not sure, as Shrink only works for a while........Any advise is welcome.

Two: Tactics, Anything welcome here, just ideas for things to try in combat, and what sort of classes and such to go for, Weird ideas that become possible for a Giant.

Three: Gear.....Magic stuff for one, can anyone think of good giant gear?

Four: RPing ideas, Just what it says on the tin, any ideas you may have, no mater how weird, tell me, anything to flesh him out more.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

What books are available to you? What level is the game?

On size, so far as I know, that might be difficult by core RAW (which is what I'm most familiar with). A few possibilities off the top of my head:

1) Crawl. ;)

2) Magic Item. I don't know if there are any official RAW magic items that shrink, but I think it would be possible to invent a "ring of reduce giant" or something along those lines, though I'm guessing it would be expensive. And potentially dispelable in an uncomfortably tight spot! Imho, this is the easiest route once you determine a price for it; the DM can just give it to you in lieu of a chunk of your normal starting gold and call it on heirloom only you and your family can use or something. [There was a thread recently about a "belt of enlarge person" recently that might help with pricing, but I can't find it atm. It would probably be cheaper than that, since reduce causes lots of penalties (less STR, lose reach, etc).]

3) Lycanthropy, other shapeshifting ability (eg, wildshape). Become a (were)creature that is naturally medium-sized

4) Bloodline. You could use the Bloodline variant (or this 3pp Bloodline Levels variant) to be a frost giantkin, rather than a full fledged frost giant. There are likely other similar solutions along these lines, using template, or something.

As for the other things, I don't really have much to contribute atm. But good luck, sounds like a fun game.

Ahh, Sorry, my mistake.

Ok books?

Everything :D

Call me a compulsive collector.

It's a 3.5 Game

We're starting at Sixth level, however I know it might go on for a while, so I may keep the giant as a back-up Character, To reveal when my current Glacier Dwarf Berserker finds a noble doom.
