Level Up (A5E) Rolling Strike Question

The text of rolling strike says the following:

"Move up to 20 feet without provoking opportunity
attacks and make a melee weapon attack."


Now on exact read this would mean, that you move 20 feet, and then after you finish all that movement, you make an attack. However, normally LU's movement is more fluid, you can break up your move and attack at any point. So is the intention that it works like regular movement....ie fluid and flexible, or because this is special bonus movement, its meant to work exactly as noted, you move first, you attack, and then your bonus movement is over.

While I can see how the RAW would exclude broken-up movement, I cannot imagine that is the intent. Otherwise I think it would read closer to "and THEN make a melee weapon attack."

Yeah, the word “then” would be thing that would change the meaning.

Based on this, sounds like you agree rolling strike's movement can be broken up like any other movement. Is that fair to say?

That's my interpretation of that text, yes.
