In its never-ending plot to achieve M&M Superlink Domination, Ronin Arts has seized control of Blue Devil Games’ 1st Appearance product line. Starting in 2006, Ronin Arts will release updated editions of the existing Blue Devil Games M&M Superlink products, 1st Appearance: T.O.M.C.A.T.S and 1st Appearance: Luminous, as well as finalize and release the products Blue Devil Games has in various stages of development.

“Since T.O.M.C.A.T.S was first released in 2004 Blue Devil Games’ M&M Superlink products have impressed me,” said Ronin Arts owner Philip Reed. “The artwork and presentation, coupled with excellent writing, really set the product apart from the competition. When I was given the opportunity to add Blue Devil Games’ M&M Superlink products to our growing line it only took a few minutes for me to say yes. I’m proud to have these products under the Ronin Arts banner.”

“When it became clear that time constraints would prevent me from giving our 1st Appearance line of Superlink products the attention they deserve, I knew I wanted to find them a good home,” said Blue Devil Games owner Justin Jacobson. “Ronin Arts was at the top of my list because they're at the top of the field when it comes to M&M Superlink.”

This arrangement in no way affects Blue Devil Games’ other product lines, including the popular Dawning Star setting and AEvolutions line.

Just wanted to chime in with a couple of things:

1) The cheesy world-domination title was my idea. So please don't go off with any half-cocked reciminations about Phil's ego.

2) I'm ecstatic about the arrangement. To expand on my made-for-press-release quote, I just don't have the time to devote to my Superlink line. I've been breaking promises about getting out the next two books, and the angst was eating me alive. I wanted to thank everyone who supported the 1st Appearanc line. It's been a lot of fun and has gotten some great feedback. At this point, I know I've left it in good hands, and Phil will be able to do more with it than I ever could.

3) The secret unannounced part of the deal (and I hope Phil won't be upset about me spilling the beans) is that Phil's going to do layout on a couple of our upcoming products. (By upcoming, I mean a few months or so down the road, not tomorrow or anything.) So, I'm also ecstatic about that part of the deal.

In summation, happy day for me, happy day for Superlink fans.

Sounds like everyone wins with this deal.

That's what we're hoping.

If enough 1st Apperances stuff comes out, any chance for a combination print book?

Actually, my plan is to release print versions of the 2e versions in the same format as the Superline series. So each one will be a 32-64 page (depending on size) comic-sized book.

Super cool for both Ronin Arts & Blue Devil Games. All the best on this endeavour! :)

Man, we gotta be careful. If things continue like this, Phil may end up owning or imprinting us all, including WotC. ;)
