Ronin Arts is pleased to announce the release of the vsM Engine under the OGL. Included in the vsM Engine file is the SRD, logo, and licenses.

The vsM Engine is based on Philip Reed's vs. Monsters roleplaying game, originally published in 2003.

Reviewer Steven Tinner said about the vs. Monsters Deluxe Edition:

"The sheer simplicity of the rules is a real treat. I have plenty of complex games already, I don't need another. But there's always room for something that I can teach players quickly while still getting good results. The mechanics are innovative, and as I said in the review, this has become my new LARP system of choice. Maybe not what Reed intended, but it handles that need perfectly."

The vsM Engine SRD is available now.

Sometimes something new causes me to think of new setting and stuff for settings. vsM is causing a meltdown somewhere in my brain. :D

I hope to produce some ideas for it in the near future and I want to thank Mr. Reed and Mr. Curry for the opportunity.

Alright, here is what I am working on:

Project #1 - Town Secrets
Every body has secrets and a town is nothing more than the people who live there. Town Secrets will provide a rich background of townsfolk and will include story seeds for tons of play. Slated for inclusion are The Butcher, The Banker (but alas no Candlestick Maker), The Mountainman and other colorful people.

Project #2 - Kidnapped
A vsM adventure, the characters awaken to find themselves locked away in some dungeon like cell. Can they find their way out or will they become a permanent fixture here? More importantly why were they kidnapped and what fiendish plot awaits them?

Each of these will probably be short PDFs around 10 pages in all. As I work them out I will post more information over at my website - http://www.93gamesstudio.com
