Augment Summoning

I don't think I've ever vreated an item as a PC. And summoning is crappy in general-the creatures are mostly just good for soaking up hits anyway.

I notice Improved Init is listed as eliminated, but is also still on the list. Not that I wanted it gone (I don't), but am I missing something?
 

Scribe scroll: never used this feat once & I have played many mages -wands are better value.
improved Intiative: not as useful unless you roll each round
Spring attack: this powers down a character by limiting multiple attacks - buy a bow for heavens sakes

Yay! Somebody else joined my holy crusade against the evil that is Augment Summoning!

And I think Scribe Scroll is a definitive gonner. Already 7 votes against it. Save your votes for something else, now -- like Augment Summoning, or Quicken Spell.

I think the point here would be not that it's the best metamagic, but that it's METAMAGIC, a mechanic that has generally proven unappealing to the players. After all, you already payed your feat, now they want you to pay MORE. Numerous house rules, variants, and supplemental rules have appeared with the EXPRESS purpose of making metamagic more appealing, and I must admit I tend to closely scrutinize those for use in my game as well.

Well, I see Spell Focus dodged the bullet last time, so let's keel it dead this time, along with the king of too expensive metamagic:

SPELL FOCUS
GREATER SPELL FOCUS
QUICKEN SPELL
 

GREATER SPELL FOCUS
GREATER SPELL PENETRATION
AUGMENT SUMMONING

Greater things because they are boring. Heck why not have Greater Skill Focus and Greater Toughness. You could double the number of feats in the PHB without an ouce of thought. Greater Spell Focus gets doubled ire because its existance resulted in Spell Focus becoming +1 to DCs. Finally, Augment Summoning is just lame. It requires Spell Focus in a school that doesn't have a lot of saves (What's next, Augment Abjuration?), and it is very clunky, specialized, and underpowered.
 

I'm voting off the following:

GREATER WEAPON FOCUS [GENERAL]
GREATER WEAPON SPECIALIZATION [GENERAL]
SPIRITED CHARGE [GENERAL]


I don't like Greater Weapon Focus or Greater Weapon Specialization, not because of what they do, but the balance between requirements and payoff. They just aren't worth the expenditure of a feat when you can get them.

Spirited Charge should be a Ride check. Or at least make the feat do more. Or it should be something the mount takes as a feat.

Because there are so many more interesting feats you can take..
Make that interesting at all.
