Improved Initiative

Improved Initiative: useful to anyone during every combat situation. Potentially life-saving feat for any character.

I find the opposite - the Fighters with Imp Init who charge before the enemy acts get ganged up on & hacked to pieces, while the low-Init guy with Power Attack OTOH...

I'm actually supporting Weapon Finesse to the bitter end. Why?

As a monster fan, it is the number one bonus feat for critters, especially animals and tiny critters that would never have a chance of hitting otherwise.

Because it benefits all of a creature's natural attacks and unarmed attacks.

Because I prefer high-Dex characters.

Because for the cost of one feat it affects all light weapons, rapiers, spiked chains, and more.

I will agree that the +1 BAB requirement is ridiculous.

Although I do like it, I voted to remove Improved Init. It's utilitarian, but bland.

We are now down to the two feats that define the archetypal fighting styles of D&D: Finesse and Power.

As much as I would have liked to vote for Improved Init, I had to vote for weapon finesse because it has the lead on WF and I need to protect my choice, Power Attack.

POWER ATTACK

It lied and told me it was hoping to be in the final round with Rapid Shot. It had me fooled, and didn't tell me until right before the council that things had changed. It lied to me all along, and everyone else too. I think Power Attack had an alliance with Improved Initiative too, but was telling Weapon Finesse they'd go the end together.

Power Attack is a liar and a cheat.
