Round IV is OVER

Oh, it had nothing to do with class combinations. He was first level--so no multiclass. His father was a famous warrior whose primary weapon was a halberd...long stroy short I wanted him proficient with the weapon without the benifit of the bonus feats and armour--he was a skinny wimpy mage...fresh out of the academy! There is no way he should have been even close to the power of a fighter.

Hmmm. Half-Orc Barbarian, 20 Str, say a +2 Str item, +4 when raging, so that is... (26) +8 to hit and damage, +12 damage with a two-handed weapon [and what barbarian doesn't have one?], +1 for a magic weapon... +13 damage? Gee, hit someone a time or two and gee, I get a free attack?

That justifies Cleave. To justify Great Cleave you have to drop two opponents per round and move on to the third.

Ok, that's exactly what I was thinking about when I wrote the last line in the edit above. :p

I am more of a roleplay intensive gamer who chooses strange feats to fit a concept...including a wizard who wields a large halberd at first level

I can speak for all, but I suspect some people would prefer one feat for weapon proficiencies. Need Spiked Chain, get Weapon Proficiency. Need Halbred, get Weapon Proficiency.

a lot of these powergame mentalities concerning: well why would you do this....when this is more effective really just seems silly to me.

Yeah, that was my problem with ditching Rapid Reload as is apperantly happening in this thread. Just 'cause the Longbow is better doesn't mean Rapid Reload sucks. But if petty reasons are good enough for this poll, then there it is. :)

Light Armor Proficiency. If this one wins, I suggest taking Thanee's idea and eliminating all the armor and shield proficiencies at a go.

Ditto, echo, yes. (For clarity: My singular vote = Light Armor Proficiency as well, and I agree with the suggestion)

These should go before Leadership, I figure, because Leadership still has some uses for helping take some of the load off DMs by letting players keep track of their cohorts mechanically.

I'm going to vote for improved unarmed strike. If you want to fight unarmed you really need be a monk to be at all effective. Without being a monk an unarmed attack would do a whole 1d3 points of damage I believe. I just can not see much of a use for unarmed combat for anyone but a monk, and monks already get the feat for free.

heavy armor proficiency

i'm jumping on the armor proficiency bandwagon here - this feat is bloody useless.

any class that should consider wearing heavy armor already gets the proficiency, so why bother?
