Extra Turning and Shield Proficiency

We've almost ousted all the weapon/armor proficiences and boy is Extra Turning lame (go PrC Filler Requirements!)

Shield Proficiency and Martial Weapon Proficiency

Awww, I thought these would already be gone!

Shield Prof is unneeded, since you can just have 1 less AC than the heavy shield and purchase a mithral buckler with no check penalty.

Martial Weapon Prof is unnecessary compared to Exotic, unless you're playing a very weird and specific character concept that refuses to take the level in Fighter to get a free feat, all the armour and shields, and martial all in one (plus +2 to Fort saves and +1 BAB)
 

Shield Proficiency, Forge Ring

Shield Proficiency, because I hate protecting myself. And because if you're going to be using a shield, chances are you're a melee character anyway.

Doh, boo two votes, boo. I'm going to go with Forge Ring, since you mentioned it. Although I don't like the Item Crafting feats as they are. I'm sure I'll end up helping out with the metamagics as well, simply because I hate the idea that you need to pay twice (feat, level adjustment) for metamagic.

I promise next time I'll vote for something that I don't think had been voted for yet, and give better reasons than being a sheep. Well, being a sheep is part of the reason though...

Survivor roll really, it should just be part of that skill.
