Yep. I want to be able to outrage the Troll.

Rage by monsters:
Orc: 5%
Wraith: 11%
Kobold: 23%
Balrog: 50%
Death Knight: 70%
Dragon: 200%
Troll: 300%

Its their starting rage values. I guess that each time you use Rage you lose 100% rage.

ya, especially if they put a lot into defense

Troll's have a good STR and DEF too.

Getting that Banded Mail might be a good idea.

As a side note , I think the healing items are still a bit overpriced you can afford some really good armour or weapons for the price of getting back to full health (that and it takes 40 posts to heal fully).
