do you really believe an IQ of 136-150? not that anyone should put any weight on that anyways....

Actually have an average of 165 in IQ on my last 10 tests, so I guess a high IQ is not too uncommon here on the boards (since I consider myself to be one of the average ones here).

Spelling and grammar are the clothing you wear online. You can wear casual clothes when hanging out with friends (i.e, posting), but using poor language skills in a personal ad is like showing up for a blind date wearing a torn, stained T-Shirt and plaid golfer pants.

You obviously haven't had to review a business plan written by an engineer. They can write capacitor backwards, but can't distinguish between its and it's.

Bah. I am a professional programmer <I>and</i> I have a degree in English Writing.

OTOH, "its","it's", and "its'" is one of my main stumbling blocks in writing. Thank Darwin there are editors out there...

Which makes it all smell vaguely scammy...

But, hey, if it does result in anyone getting hooked up, cool. Geek love is a wonderful thing. Problem is, many geeks are so desperate to find their one true love (or at least, someone to have sex with), that they'll deactivate the paranoia circuits.

I just recall a similair site, not too long ago, which included, in the very fine print, words to the effect of "We will occasionally send you letter purporting to be from people who are interested in you, but which are actually from paid employees. The purpose of these letters is to get you to join our pay service."
