RPG.NET down [Again] ?

Oof. Another one lost to the horrors of reality.

OH gods... BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES! Refugees might be wending their way towards ENWorld at this very moment!

Normal Refugees I won't mind, but trolls like GUTB, may Morrigan help P-kitty, Morrus, and the rest in this battle.

The thing is, the Skotos website is still up. I hope it's not down for the count; it seemed like the members were generally willing to donate/pay for memberships to keep the site going.

In fact I really really hope the site isn't down for good. I mean, even if you leave aside the often-flameridden forums, that review database was a great resource.

I know Allan Sugerbaker indicated it is very questionable as to whether the site was even going to continue after the end of the month given the debt and costs of operation, so it won't surprise me if that is the reason why.

When / where did he say this? I'm not seeing anything, and I had hoped to go back to posting there,... eventually.

Hmmm, I must say I also thought the review database at RPGnet was very good, though I rarely used it otherwise. RPGnet was one of the few places where you could find reviews of older TSR products.

Yet again I can't access rpg.net. Seems to be a DNS problem this time since I get an MSN 'url doesn't exist' search page...

What's wrong with RPG.NET ? Do they need money ? I'd be happy to donate, but I don't think they've set up anything to do so...
