RPG Print News – Aftermath!, Achtung! Cthulhu, and More!

Lots of exclamation marked RPGs this week (but alas, no Troika!) including the latest support for the over 40 year old RPG Aftermath! as well as new creatures for Achtung! Cthulhu. Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Edition and other fantasy RPGs get a new book of battle maps and the latest Essence20 based RPG is out. There is also a monograph as well as a box set that includes all of H.P. Lovecraft’s collected written work, both items for RPGs based on his fiction. Finally, there is a new easy to learn fantasy dungeon crawler RPG available.

Liber Oblitus: A Reading of an Unreadable Book is a manuscript written in an unknown language. A team from Miskatonic University undertook an analysis of the strange document. Led by the art historian and aided by an historian, a psychologist and a mathematician, the book is filled with breathtaking scholarship, copious footnotes, and figures. The softcover monograph features 53 pages of text, figures, detailed footnotes and bibliography, a glossy 16-inch color centerfold, and more. It is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, saddle stapled with a green cover. The hardback facsimile version contains the complete text and figures of the monograph plus all 267 pages of the cryptical manuscript for a complete 302-page facsimile. The book measures 8.75 x 11.25 inches and is an inch thick, weighing over two pounds.
