Inspired by the myths, cultures, and history of the Ancient Near East, and by such ancient texts as the Iliad, the Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Old Testament, the PCs wander the Zaharets. Beastmen roam the land, the Law of Men is fragile, and scars remain from wars between ruined Keta in the north and Gerwa in the south. Occultists and Jackals seek to plunder corrupted ruins and forge their destiny. In Righteous Blood Ruthless Blades PCs play eccentric heroes who solve mysteries, avenge misdeeds, uphold justice, and demonstrate profound mastery of the martial arts in a wuxia ancient China. PCs can play a physician, beggar, assassin, thief, soldier, bandit, and more. Their martial world, or Jianghu, set in a romanticized ancient China filled with sects and factions. Uses a ten-sided dice pool mechanic, loosely modeled on the one found in Wandering Heroes of Ogre Gate, and play is designed to be gritty, suspenseful, and fast. PCs focus on solving mysteries. Combat is consequential and fast, often resolved in a single role. Includes a sample martial world and a starting adventure.

Because apparently we are in desperate need of yet another Bronze Age fantasy game based on the RuneQuest engine.
I think what makes it alluring is that since it's based on OpenQuest the rules are closer to Call of Cthulhu 6th Edition and before. It's a lighter game than Mythras (RQ6) & doesn't feature Glorantha.

In all honesty, IMO, the best Basic Role Playing stuff is coming from publishers other than Chaosium.

Yeah. I ordered it upon release ( as I really like some of Ospreys other RPGs). In my excitement didn't check the system, and very gutted when I saw its BRP-based. The book is otherwise well put together with great art and an interesting setting

Osprey was always great for painting guides when we were doing historical miniature games. I hope they go beyond "just" the rpgs and provide background guides for their RPGs, painting / miniature guides, world building / scenic looks at typical areas (taverns, markets, temples, etc.), etc. Deepen their worlds in short, visually and otherwise.
