RPGA Campaigns promoted as Adventure Paths

WotC has mentioned that a goal is for Dungeon adventures to be plugged directly into the game table. If they want Organized Play to take off, they should do the same thing for RPGA adventures. Create a strong synergy between the RPGA and the virtual game table and both might feed off each other.

Agreed. Since I started running my Age of Worms campaign through Fantasy Grounds II, I've become and online play convert.

With new technology you lose nothing except for sharing a pizza, and you get to play with folks you've not played with since college. I have no doubt that you'll be able to play RPGA games though the online game table. Giving people more play experiences is always a good thing.

Sorry, you'll just have to wait and see.

Well, at least no news is good news. :) Thanks!

Have you tried MapTool?

Fantastic product. I prefer its simplicity over Fantasy Grounds. It's so much easier to quickly build a map, and it's all open source. Personally I would much, much rather see the D&D Game Table as MapTool with a centralized area for finding games. I do not want too many bells and whistles.

Right now we're using MapTool to play the EN World Burning Sky game (we're 5th starting Shelter from the Storm), Mysteries of the Moonsea / Sons of Gruumsh (we're 4th), a homebrew Eberron game (a solo gestalt at 6th) and Expedition to the Demonweb Pits (APL 10). We still have our tabletop games for Savage Tide (16th), a Sword Coast game (the Dead Mere series) (4th) and Shackled City (8th), but I love the online game. IMO it's more immersive than a tabletop game. Of course, I've never played online with strangers before.

We haven't played any RPGA games online yet, but we maybe some day. Most of our RGPA stuff is for new players, usually on monthly meetups.
