RPGA:No to Living Modern, Yes to Living Dragonlance?

What thread? What are you trying to pull? It pops up my email compose message window.

Boggled by your post above.

In any case, as Morgenstern have said earlier, they're bringing their own volunteer and resource (from outside RPGA) to make it happen due to RPGA's shortcoming. Sovereign Stone are setting up their own staff to help out with the Living Dragonlance, RPGA just have to endorse it.

So, you can't fault RPGA because they can only tell you of their operation from within. I'm sure that when the announcement made a couple months ago, no one from outside is volunteering to maintain their Living Campaigns. The fact that AEG and Sovereign Stone are helping to set their Living Campaign should be welcome news, and who knows? Maybe someone will step up to do a "Living Modern" campaign.

If anything, Ryan Dancey and his company, OrganizedPlay, should be a more likely candidate to set one up, since they already handled the Living City campaign (based on Forgotten Realms Raven's Bluff).

Okay, sorry, try this:

here.

If that doesn't work, here's the thread:

The issue is not that Sovereign Press is doing two new shared-world-campaigns. The issue is that RPGA has said they are not going to support ANY new campaigns, member-driven or not. There simply wasn't time to even give nominal support, they said. There are plenty of people who would be interested in supporting a Modern Living campaign, but WotC owns all the settings in the main book as well as Urban Arcana. Even if we COULD find a company to create a setting, and run it with their own volunteers or employees or whatever, RPGA said no.

THAT'S why I was disgruntled.

And if you read the thread above from the General Discussion Board, you'll see that's what they're talking about.

Well, based on the discussion thread on the link you provided above, which included the Amended Statement from Sovereign Press' Jamie Chambers, it sounds like the Living Dragonlance will not be sanctioned nor will be operated by RPGA. IOW, RPGA won't be spending a dime of their budget allowance (courtesy of Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro) for Living Dragonlance. It's all on Sovereign Press.
