RPGNow Question

Quite frankly if you cannot make up the $40 in the first two weeks your product is out there, your product is crap.

Ahem.

Thank you. That was both tactful and nice, Joe, considering that some publishers did not do that well in their first two weeks.

KI-RYN, to be honest, sales depend on a lot more than the quality of your product. Brand recognition and good public relations are much higher in getting inital sales on a product. Reviews are vital to the PDF industry, since it's hard to browse a PDF before buying.

Another thing, sales can be effected by the time of year. Summer vacation seemed to kill my sales, and the sales of other publishers.

If your product is good, and you make it known to buyers, you will make back the $40 in good time. It just may not be two weeks, or even a month at first. Sales come as people become comfortable buying from you.

Have a happy-happy joy-joy day.

I'm sorry about the grumpy post. I'm usually cuddlier than that but this is just such a silly issue. But if you don't do that well in your first two weeks you didn't get the word out about your product. Selling is a verb. It is something you have to do if you want to makemoney.
