The flying object, easily recognizable to Mr. Jones as it swoops down, comes no where close to hitting the magician and flies past him. It's larger then a normal eagle should be and is flying more awkwardly. Silver-gray in colour it looks like is made of metal.

"They have eyes in the sky, big metal bird" Mr Jones reports, "I'm moving now." With that he twitches his cape, translocates to the library roof and crouches behind the parapet. The Magician's eyes scan the scene from this new vantage point reorienting himself to the ground and trying to locate both his friends and potential foes.

Move to the roof of (21) JFK Library, try and keep both the lab and the commons in range of ESP if not possible then just the lab. (I am hoping he can see the roof from current location so no need for ESP first.)

Hide in Plain Sight and Stealth(1d20+6=15) to try and not get spotted.

Questions:
Did the eagle show up to Jones's mental sense? Was it thinking?

How fast is the golf cart moving, roughly?

Ah, but I think the arrogant scientist is just making up an excuse to look smart and impress Zenji. Really it is the batteries going flat but admitting to not bringing spares would look foolish where as noticing the machine is overheating before it does looks smart :>

Zenji points at the statue base. "What's that? It looks like some kind of altar or something." Zenji looks around and, if he doesn't see anyone, starts walking towards it to examine it.

"Altar? Vhat? It's zhe base vhere a statue vas, nutzing more," Archeville says dimsissively. "Zhe statue's probably avay for cleaning or somesuch... c'mon, I don't vant us to be out in zhe open, especially not mit some bird-bot flying around."

OOC: there were no thoughts, no mental activity whatsoever from the eagle. The golf cart didn't appear to be moving very fast, but it was hard to tell given the distance. He can easilly see the roof and schoolyard of Robert Reid, but you have long since lost sight of Zenji and Archeville.

The eagle swoops back up and over Martin Hall, making another pass. It flies past the building and back towards Monroe Hall and the Commons.

There is no one in front of the doors to Monroe, nor to the side doors of Patterson Hall. As Zenji moves toward the statue's base there is a rush of air behind him and in front of Archeville.

"Vas ist?!," Archeville explains as the wind whips around him.

OOC: Does Archeville see the metal bird? If so, he'll be looking at it intently, trying to figure out if it's primarily an attack thing or a scout thing.

The Juggler glances back at Jack. "I'll try to sneak in and pop open a window for you. Wait there." And with that, he heads in, quietly sneaking.

Zenji stops and spins around. "What was that?!?" he exclaims.

 

[Raylis]

Juggler sneaks up to the window and finds that the open outward (toward) him at an angle. He tries to pull one, finding it locked.

As he does so he can easilly see 20-25 children no more then 7 years old and an adult in what appears to be a classroom. The desks are arranged in groups of four, and the children seem to be busy doing homework or something.

Zenji and Archeville look around but do not see anything that might have caused such a gust of wind.

Looking up for the bird Mr. Jones described, Archievelle can indeed see it flying over the commons, it's a bit too far away to distingush any details...

Hmm... Oh well. Musta been my imagination. Zenji continues investigating the statue base.
