RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Archeville enters the booth, briefly wondering what the Japanese word for TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) would be. He also wonders how this particular transporter works.

"<<Yes. Thank you very much, sir. You are kind to act so honourably. You know, my older sister told me that this was a very great place, but I've never been able to visit yet because I have to study for my college entrance exams. They are very hard, you know? My friend Kiyoko's older sister Megumi has failed her entrance exams twice! I always thought...>>"

[SBLOCK=OOC--what is Sierra doing?] Sierra has to keep talking to keep him fascinated. If he's going to continue paying attention / following them, then he might as well like Sierra more. She can maintain Fascinate as a move action each round, and then she'll spend a standard action for her doubly Subtle (one Subtle + Mental is already Subtle) and thus unnoticable Emotion Control, which also requires her voice. The idea is that eventually after several rounds of this, he becomes helpful or fanatic by rolling low and failing the save by a lot (it works well on mooks and normal people, but it is not useful against big enemies because they'll never fail the save by that much, even on a 1). Since she's spending a standard and move action each round to talk, she'll proceed at an extremely casual pace, abstracting a 5-foot-step over 6 seconds as sort of a very slow walk following after Marie. Once he becomes helpful or better, she'll stop activating both Fascinate (which drops, but shouldn't matter any more) and Emotion Control (which remains until someone dispels or nullifies it) and move with Marie at a faster pace. OOC: unless he decided to walk into an elevator and up the shaft then he'd be on the first floor.

OOC: Okay, thanks. There's been no reason for Gus to follow the elevator, so he is probably still on the first floor. Just shout if you need help, kiddies! And he'll be there... eventually...

Gus wanders through another wall, looking for security as he was instructed. Always fascinated by the mundane, there's plenty for him to explore and gaze at in an office building.

Archeville, Titan
Once in the booth both Archeville and Titan feel a tingling sensation, as if thier limbs all 'fell asleep' at once. The sensation lasts for a moment and they find themselves in a room about the same size as the "Ready Lounge" at the Resolutes New Jersey Headquarters. Instead of couches and a bar there is a small, 13" TV in one corner, a rug and a map of Tokyo with several red circles drawn on it. There is also a door marked "Infirmary" but no other obvious exits. One corner of the room is remarkably devoid of light.

In the center of the room, sitting down is a japenese man dressed in kendo clothing, the gloves and helmet in front of him and his right leg wrapped in an ace bandage. Next to him is a lovely woman woman dressed in a red kimono with a yellow fox tail and wearing a white fox shaped mask. The man turns bowing his head, "You are the reinforcements from the Resolutes? It is fortunate so many have the same ability as our Oni-Kage...Ronin will be pleased to know her "te-le pad" worked. I am Kensai, this is Kitsune. Welcome to Tokyo.

Meanwhile, A the tower...
"<<Quiet.>> the samurai growls, pushing Sierra forward to walk faster. Marie and Sierra are taken down a hallway, the only exit from the elevator lobby on this hall. The hallway is short, maybe 20 feet long and comes to a stop at a pair of double doors. <<"Enter">> the samurai says planting its feet and widening its stance.

*Perturbed, as she's walking along down the hallway, Sierra checks to figure out what's going on with this guy/thing.*

[SBLOCK=What's she doing?]She's going to use Subtle Mind Reading to figure out if there's something weird about his mind that makes him able to avoid being Fascinated and at least Friendly. Is it an automaton immune to mental effects? Is he shielded somehow? What's his angle and who does he serve? (after all, she has no idea what's going on here and just sort of jumped to where the Resolutes were with no context) She can delve into that as they are walking to see how to proceed. If she's getting nothing useful (like if he's immune), then instead of continuing further, she'll instead zoom back in on Archeville and Titan to see if they're doing anything interesting.[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=Sierra]
"Get the girl and take her to the room." is the order running through the samurai's mind. There is some confusion because while it's orders said the girl, there are two of them. The order is masking a violent, almost demonic urge to slice them in two and prevent them from reaching The Dark Dragon

[SBLOCK=Sierra](OOC: Cool! So it's sort of a humanlike mind that she's sensing, though?)[/SBLOCK]

"<<But of course, my good friend. We wouldn't want to keep the honourable Dark Dragon-sama waiting, right? All praise be his name.>>"

~~ Kensai's & Kitsune's HQ ~~

Archeville glances around the room, looking for Sierra, then bows to the two "hosts," "<<I am Doctor Archeville, and this is Titan*. We did have a third companion, but Sierra... well, I was under the impression she would already be here. She was how we got here. She... may have gone to meet with the Resolute forces already here.>>"

[sblock=Shoulder Daemons]Or forgotten the mission and gone shopping...

Oh, be nice, she can't be that bad. If she were, d'ya think she'd be allowed on the Resolutes for very long? Maybe it's all an act to throw folks off-guard.[/sblock]

"<<If you could tell us what you can of the situation, and where the other Resolutes members are, we would be most appreciative. And, once this matter is attended to, I should very much like to meet this Ronin, to discuss the 'Te-le-pad'.>>"

* Yeah, he be speakin' Japanese.

Marie shrugs and follows the Samurai things directions for now, if for no other reason that she cant think of anything else to do that'd work out better. "Not to big on small talk, huh?" If nothing else, it might lull them into a false sense of security. She glances over at the other girl. "Who are you, anyways? "
"<<But of course, my good friend. We wouldn't want to keep the honourable Dark Dragon-sama waiting, right? All praise be his name.>>"

"Dark Dragon? Did I miss something?"

[sblock=OOC]
Marie racks her brain to see if the Samurai thing or the name rings any bells.
