RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

HQ

Kitsune takes Archeville over to the back corner of the room, opposite of the area of darkness (the same area he and Titan appeared at) and turns a section of wall, revealing a complicated switchboard with a screen. On closer inspection it looks like it was modeled after the Star Trek (Original Series) transporters. The more people it teleports the larger area it needs, but he could get all three resolutes in front of the Ichitawa building.

A push of a button and a transporter pad opens from the floor.

The Tower
Despite Inihara's security call, the demon behind the doors does not enter the room.

[sblock=Scout]
Via Blindsense you can feel the two people in the room, but no one else is in hallway or the lobby.

"Oh, very nice, very retro!" Archeville beams as he sees the panel, as does his electromagnetic screwdriver. Let's see... widen the yield on the molecular imaging scanners... check the Heisenberg compensators... tighten the annular confinement beam... Sierra, Titan, please stand on that pad, and try to hold very still. I would like to make sure we all get there in one piece." In his excitement, Archeville had switched to speaking in German, so his teammates would have to rely on his gesturings (and Comprehend).

Once done, Archeville hops onto the pad and uses his electromagnetic screwdriver as a remote control to activate it (i.e., Datalink).

OOC: Do I need to roll anything, or are Archeville's relevant craft & knowledge checks high enough to not need a roll for this?

"Scotty, three to beam up," the Japanese girl says as Archeville looks about ready to activate the teleporter.

*Then she smiles and strikes a pose with the traditional two fingered peace sign that Japanese people will often use for photos and the like.*

OOC: no, your ranks in Know (tech) are more than sufficent to use this device

As Archeville activates the control, the trio have a brief feeling of discombobulation and find themselves in front of the Ichitawa building-much to the surprise of several people on the sidewalk.

Scout scans the two inhabitants of the room carefully and tries to identify which one is Marie. Once she is sure of her target, she whispers into the resolute communicator, "Marie, I don't think he's our target ... I'm 'porting you out"

A few seconds later Marie appears beside Scout, on the top of the lift. Scout has her finger to her lips indicating silence.

[sblock=Actions][Blindsense to determine which person in the room is Marie, Notice +30 if applicable]
[Switch array to 'Teleport another' configuration]
[Teleport Marie to spot beside her, on top of the elevator]

[sblock=OOC]I think this guy is just a lackey. I want to see what happens next if we wait for their security response ... from an appropriately hidden position of course ;)[/sblock]

Marie nods a confirmation at Scout, and waits to see what happens.

Entering the elevator there are many buttons. One stands apart from the others and is labeled the equivilent of "P"

"I am going to... P. Will stay out of sight and see what happens. Am wishing for luck!"

With that, Mister Scares becomes briefly tangible and pushes the P button. (And maybe finds a parking lot, but he's not really savvy enough to know that.)

~~~ Outside the Ichitawa Tower ~~~
"<<Ah, matter/energy conversion and transmission... been a while since I've teleported that vay>>," Archeville mutters to himself.
"Since I prefer haffing a plan to vandering in aimlessly," Archeville says aloud to his two teammates as he takes a few steps off the sidewalk closer to the main entrance, "I'm going to try und contact our folks inside, try und find out vhere zhey are. Since Scout didn't say anyzhing about maintaining radio silence, I'm hoping they're not in a position where contacting them will compromise anyzhing."
And so, unless Sierra or Titan offers a reason not to, Archeville adjusts his his commlink to send a message to all Resolute Communicators in the area, except Sierra's & Titan's. "Zhis is Doktor Archeville, along mit Titan und Sierra. Ve've come to help; vhere are you?"
[sblock=OOC]I'm imagining Mister Scares being first to answer, having conveniently become tangible just as the message goes out, and we three meet him in the Parking Deck, where all sorts of mangled and broken English will be thrown about. ;) [/sblock]
Scout listens carefully to the message over the communicator, and then whispers a reply "Scout here, surveillence underway. Gus can you redezvous with them?"
[sblock=OOC]The plan works for me .. only problem will be for you guys to get to the parking lot ... quite high security in this building.
Scout can happily 'port you guys around if necessary, ... you just need to ask :)
@Raylis: Can we turn the volume of the resolute communicator's right down?[/sblock]
"<<So these guys are using pop-cultural things like movie monsters as minions, right? I bet if we were those, we could sneak in easily>>" the Japanese girl taps her fingers idly, "Either way, I think it is time for something fun soon..."
