RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Scout waits as Marie enters the elevator and keeps an eye out for approaching security. She then reaches out through the walls with her blindsense, feeling the space above the elevator in the elevator shaft, looking for a good spot to 'port to. Then, silently and subtely, making use of her skills in stealth, she simply vanishes, unnoticed by the crowds around her.

[Hide in plain sight (Stealth 30)]
[Subtle Teleport into the elevator shaft on top of the elevator which Marie is in]
[Switch Teleport array to Reactive]
[Use Blindsight to look around (Notice 30)] [OOC Note: I'm not quite sure what the default range of Blindsight should be ... any idea Raylis?]

As she does, she hears Kitsune's voice in her head and she reaches down to activate the Foxy lady's communicator, <<Thank you. Please send report as follows: Details of attacks clarified. Purpose of attacks clarified. Targetting Mutants. Three individuals. Hiroshi Ichitawa, probable mastermind. Girl, Photographer, accompanied boy. Boy, Confirmed Mutant, probable power matter manipulation. Enemy awareness of Mutant weaknesses confirmed. Method unknown. Resolute team currently engaged in reconaissance of Ichitawa Company's Tokyo branch.>>

She then speaks softly to Marie and Gus over the Resolute's communicator, "Marie, Close the elevator doors and try another floor. If you need I can move you outta there, somewhere a little less conspicuous. Gus, see if you can locate their central security office. It'll be one with a lot of monitors in it."

As Marie presses buttons she notices the camera pointing at her. "I see yooou!" It pivots slightly then the elevator begins to move...but not to the floor she selected. She does hear a dinstince "Wheeeee!" call out in pure joy from the camera.

Scout can hear the gears of the elevator start up and it begins to rise in the elevator shaft.

<<I will pass on the message.

"Mayday ....Repeat....respond please! Some...zilla Monster is...us! sounds over your Resolute commincators, accompanied by the tell tale sound of Guantet's arm cannon.

Marie grimaced as the elevator started moving. "Well, I think the 'being inconspicuous part' is over. Scout, I'm of a mind to see where this is taking me, for now, but I'm not to adverse to the idea of you getting me out of here if it starts getting dicey."

Titan blinks and looks at his companions, "Well, that was weird. Glad I don't have to do that again for awhile".

[sblock= OOC: Raylis ]I'm not sure what to do about the guantlets since they are a little funky. I could have him go without, or just have the FF be nonfunctional for now. Big thing I wanted was a blast feature for some ranged attacks.[/sblock]

Scout remains aware of her surroundings, particulary the space above her as the elevator begins to move upwards.

She then responds quietly on her resolute communicator, "Scout here. Message broken. Please repeat. Do you need backup?"

If you want to use the Force Field at a lower rank where it would be 'legal' I'd be fine with that. [/sblock]

The trio of resolutes-Sierra, Archeville and Titan-appear at the base of the Tokyo Tower. No one seems to be paying attention to them and they can hear (for those who speak or understand Japanese) snippets of gossip about another monster attack.

Meanwhile....

The Elevator continues to ascend, the camera keeping it's "attention" on Marie...and Scout keeping hers on the shaft. There is no reply over the comm.

After a moments disorientation, Archeville looks around for someone who might be looking for them. With a name like 'Kitsune,' she may well be some fox-woman (like that Stag-Man I tussled with back home some years back)... or just a 'fox'. Redhead, maybe? That would definitely stand out...

(OOC: Having been at the base of Tokyo Tower just recently (adding it to my 'famous world towers at which I stood at the base while everyone else went up because I have acrophobia', I must ask--Is there a giant pink phallus-like mascot outside playing with / harassing kids? Also, as a random aside, the gift shop on the first floor has a pretty cool aquarium section with huge moray eels)

*While everyone else is still disoriented, by the time they think to look to Sierra, she's gone, but they do see a stunningly beautiful Japanese woman wearing the traditional dress, including summer yukata, that many Japanese wear when visiting the tower (OOC: They do, I promise ;)). She gives a small wave and bows.*

"Ohayoo Gozaimasu, Archeville-san, Titan-san," she greets them in Japanese, "Ikimasen ka,"
