RS2: The Tokyo Problem (Velmont Judging)

Scout listens carefully to the message over the communicator, and then whispers a reply "Scout here, surveillence underway. Gus can you redezvous with them?"

[sblock=OOC]The plan works for me .. only problem will be for you guys to get to the parking lot ... quite high security in this building.
Scout can happily 'port you guys around if necessary, ... you just need to ask :)

@Raylis: Can we turn the volume of the resolute communicator's right down?[/sblock]

In the elevator, Mister Scares grins at the prospect of meeting new people. "Gladly," he replies in a whisper of his own. "Where am I meeting?" He waits, invisible, to see the what the elevator opens up into.

"I am going to... P. Will stay out of sight and see what happens. Am wishing for luck!"

With that, Mister Scares becomes briefly tangible and pushes the P button. (And maybe finds a parking lot, but he's not really savvy enough to know that.)
OOC: after a really long and trying day, imagining Gus saying "I'm going to...P" I nearly fell out of my chair laughing...lord my face and chest hurt from laughing. I needed that. since there's no xp to be given, have a hero point.

I'm assuming that he's remaining invisible?

Stormwind, I don't see any reason that the communicators wouldn't have a volume setting, so yes you may adjust the volume on your coms.

In the Tower
The elevator that Scout and Mecha are currently above, begins to descend, comming to a stop after about fifteen seconds. Scout can detect two people getting on the elevator.

The Elevator lifts in the shaft, playing a catchy, toe tapping, lyricless song. As the doors open Gus can see a lavish hallway with a pair of double doors at the end. In front of the doors is a doorman who jumps to attention.

Scouts hand moves slightly as she adjusts the volume on her communicator and motions for Marie to do the same, and then she holds herself perfectly still as the two people enter the elevator. She then reaches out with her blindsight to carefully examine the two inhabitants of the lift, carefully checking for firearms or other weapons, and examining the general demeanor of the two people to determine if they are security personnel, or something else.

[sblock=Actions][Scout turns the volume on the communicator down to minimum]
[Blindsight to examine/search the two people entering the lift (Search [take 10] +20, Notice [take 10] +30, as applicable)]

OOC: Very glad you liked it, Ray, and thank you very much! ;-) Yes, Gus is remaining invisible... for all his foibles, he understands that stealth is important on this mission.

The Elevator lifts in the shaft, playing a catchy, toe tapping, lyricless song. As the doors open Gus can see a lavish hallway with a pair of double doors at the end. In front of the doors is a doorman who jumps to attention.

Mr. Scares peers out curiously, and waves an invisible hand at the startled doorman as he steps (airwalks) out of the elevator. Startling people is comforting, familiar territory for him. The rendezvous can wait, he thinks, this is getting interesting.

[sblock=Actions]Gus will walk down the hall. If he can, then he will pass through the doors and into the guarded area. Let me know if you need a stealth check or anything.[/sblock]

In the Tower
Gus
At the sound of the communicator and no one exiting the elevator, the doorman looks around...slowly. He steps through Mr. Scares (and the nightmare turned hero gets a good look at his fears-fear of heights, and large open spaces) and looks into the elevator. He slowly turns around obviously nervous that he's not quite alone...

Scout/Mecha
The elevator rises for the same amount of time that it fell. Scout is unable to determine what armaments, if any, the pair carry.

Outside the Tower

Before Gus can reply a loud roar fills the streets, bestial and angry. Looking down the street the Resolutes can see a glimpse of what appears to be a giant...ape.

"......... hunh." Archeville finally says after staring at the ape for a moment.

OOC: Knowledge/Pop Culture check to see he recognizes it (and any powers or vulnerabilities/weaknesses it might have)? 1d20+10 = 12 Okay, maybe it's from one movie Archeville hasn't seen....
Guess I can also do an initiative roll (1d20+1 = 3) Archeville was staring for a looong moment.

Scout listens carefully as she keeps track of the two people with her blindsight as they exit the lift. She pays particular attention to their movements trying to ascertain if they are security, or even, like her, militarily trained.
