I'm really excited about MME because the current 4e magic items are a bit lackluster. I am disappointed, though, that it isn't going to be for general release. For me to go to a game or hobby store, it's a 2 hour drive :-S

WotC really should have just answered the Vampire question with, "Vampires should have been a Hybrid/Multiclass only class. It's why we released those rules, because we instantly just supported the Vampire with 3 years of better material that way".

Everyone on the WotC forums is whining (shock!) about MME not coming out on Amazon. That is apparently the only way some people, espesically outside the US, can get books. Maybe they're just trying to get people to join DDI.

Well, I think the other big reason people are complaining about no Amazon release is that typically, Amazon sells it for much cheaper than the FLGS. That being said though, I would be hard pressed to buy the book while I'm a DDi subscriber unless there is some good reason to.

I don't have a LGS, F or no.

Hello Nose.

Hello Face.

Chop!

Take that Nose!

But Face... you've been spited!

Seriously, store only releases?

I cannot imagine that the print run on this isn't going to suffer horribly not just from not being at Amazon, but Buy.Com, Overstock, and other stores.

In addition, what is WoTC going to do with brick retailers who sell online, some of them at 20% or more? Tell them they can't with this release?

It reeks of appeasement and deseperation.

I'm not saying it has no value to game stores but... if you're giving game stores access to a product you've already cancelled while still not letting them sell the adventurers you're allowing them to run exclusively, how store friendly are you?

D&D is not Magic. Is never was and never will be.

I do encourage WoTC though to keep experiementing but I don't think this will be the path that leads to greater sales.

Just kidding. The 'discuss' always kind of annoys me.

Wow, a game-store only book. Wonder how I am gonna get it in far off Japan????

Yeah, vampire is a railroad of a class. Please do not make any more that restricted.

Thanks for the roster, but it does not tell me much. Anyone else?
