Rules question

First Post
If a fighter is killed from having too low a rank (Like yellow belt, disgraced 3) and then losing a match, can the winner show mercy? if yes, do fighters who show mercy still gain the extra rank from killing somebody? If someone is killed, does their yen go to the killer? If not, then can you barter for not killing someone (give me your yen and I'll spare you)?

Thanks in advance!

The winner can show mercy, the rank is not gained, the yen goes to funeral expenses, and there is nothing wrong with bartering.

You're welcome! :D

Slight clarification.

If the issuer of the death challenge is the winner, there is no option, unless this was changed recently. They declared the intent of a fight to the death, so it stands as such.

Elsewise as Sabaron said applies. For the last 'buffer' rank for the second Tier fighters, the death challenge isn't declared, so either party can show mercy if they win.
