How would you rule this....

A character with the vow of poverty feat polymorphs into a horse. Another character straps his own saddle on him to ride him. Does that break the vow of poverty?

IMO: No. I'm a bit lax about such things, but I'd call that way out there.

Is the saddle there for the benefit of the horse, or the rider? There's no question in my mind that this doesn't violate the VoP ...

It's only a VoP violation if the saddle's underside is heated and equipped with a back massager.
