Running from the dead...

First Post
The undead guardians of the Garden of Murryghn have rebuffed the approach of the PC's. Running now through the jungle to escape the undead and villagers, all but Ezieer have a difficult time making progress. Ezieer is able to run down the new path only he can see. All of you quickly regroup. Where to go now? To the boat and escape the island? Find a hiding place to recover and return?

(( Plans? ))

Ezieer complains while everyone catches up to him.

"Damn it to the deep... I couldn't hit anything with this stupid piece of flotsom! I'm not a musclebound dockworker... I need a weapon I can flex abouts.. not just whack with. Damnation!"

Once you are all regrouped together on Ezieer's path (middle of the jungle to the rest of you) you listen. There does not appear to be any immediate pursuit by the undead or the villagers. Only jungle sounds around you now. Far in the distance you can hear the soft sounds of the surf meeting the beach in a peaceful murmur.

Eisinrhyr stumbles into Ezieer as he pushes through the thick foliage. "Bah! Cursed skeletons! I told you we should have left well enough alone. Let's get to the boat and leave this damned island."

"Well thats more of less what we'all goin to have to do... unless we want to check out some other things around here. There be other paths leading from here. Whether they lead to peril or riches is only for the brave or foolish to be knowin' which it tis."

Ezieer points torward a few directions off of the direction they are travelling. (Most likely the others curse themselves for not being able to see the path that Ezieer easily treads... and thus also don't see the other branching paths he has now found).

Eisinrhyr's eyes widen in shock, "Are you mad?! Look around the island?! We're going back to the boat, and we're going there right now!"

He snorts, "At least, I am. If you do not wish to go, I'll return with Keorge to guide me."

"I be not out of my mind... I'm just tellin ya we have other options. Least we would if'n the rest of you wern't a buncha flat footed land lubbers."

Eisinrhyr snears, "We'd have other options if any of you were able to hit the broadside of a barn with a rake. As it is, we should retreat immediately to the boat, and return to the ship until you get much, much more practice."

He snorts, "Ha! Did any of you even hit one of those creatures? If you did, I didn't notice. I've little faith in your making a sudden turn-around in skill."

"And with what we've seen here, I've do not believe anything else to be behind the attacks on the other island. And even if something was, I've even less faith in your being able to best it in combat."

Eisinrhyr is having difficultly keeping up with Ezieer moving through the jungle during their walking debate. Ezieer seems to be easily walking through the foliage while Eisinrhyr and the rest are fighting their way through the thick jungle.

All of you are surprised by the appearance of the woman from the village ahead of you in the jungle. Ezieer sees her standing on the path, which only he can see among you. She appears to be standing in a dense patch of leaves and plants to the rest of you.

When you notice her she holds her finger to her pursed lips in a universal "shush" gesture. Quietly she says to Eisinrhyr in their foreign tongue, "Follow me. I can take you someplace safe for a while. They will not be able to pursue immediately."

With that she turns and takes a direction perpendicular to the path you are on. Ezieer sees that she is following one of the side paths he has been pointing out to the rest of you on the downward journey from the temple entrance. The rest of you see her moving through the jungle.
