Running I5 (or I3-5) in 3.xe; anyone have any experience

I have given some thought to revisiting one of the most flavorful site based adventures from my early DMing days, I5, lost tomb of martek. I have also heard people like the first two in the series. Anyone have any experiences or ideas for running these in 3.xe? I also considered integrating it with EA: Hamunaptra.

Not really what I am after. There is already a pretty decent mechanical conversion for the adventure. I was more interested in if anyone had done this and what their experiences were, not necessarily (though not necessarily excluding) mechanical details.
