Loaded pretty quickly for me.

I was a bit embarrassed - the minute after I posted about it in the first place, it started running like treacle. It would barely let me in! It's been fine ever since, though.

This is awesome...I was thinking of switching an old 1880s GURPS game over to d20M.

For my campaign, it would have been nicer if the maps went a bit further back. But there's some late-18th Century stuff going on. Whatever, it's just a great site to have a root around.

The maps for Avebury are quirky. This is the site of the UK's largest stone circle, and the olden-days mappers have described it as a 'temple'. Half-right, I suppose - but it's just that dogmatic, Victorian, JG Frazer-y "we know what these savages were up to!" attitude. Cracks me up.

Anyway, glad it's of some help to you!

cheers,
David

Still slow as molassis(treacle) lol, but thanks for the link. Met an ex-patriot Brit at the game store last night who was intrested in a Pulp game. Be a good surprise for him to "Go Home" for a session if only in the RPG sense.

Now you know why Malinowski was such a revelation to British anthropology ;-)

I'm sorry, I thought you knew. The UK is incompatible with D20 Modern rules. They're fixing it for the next edition.

Seriously though; the site is sort of slow, but everything on my connection is.
What can I say, rural dial-up sucks.
