Rusting Grasp and Iron Golems

The Rusting Grasp spell destroys an item of up to 3' in radius, but when used against armour, only destroys 1d6 AC points. This sems odd (I've completely destroyed that 6' tall statue, but only slightly corroded his full plate), but isn't my question.

Does the rusting grasp spell completely destroy an iron golem (or at least the central 6' of it) with no save, or does it just reduce its natural armour by 1d6.

Against an iron golem? 3d6 damage +1/level (max +15), one attack per round, one round per level.

Interesting - can you post a source for this?
Neither the rusting grasp spell or golem entry suggest anything like that.

I wonder... Since you can make one melee touch a round, does this require a standard action or can you do it as part of a full attack action? For example, put the rusting grasp on your offhand, attack with that (at offhand penalty), and attack with your primary weapon with one less attack. Or go the whole hog and use two weapon fighting.

I can't see why not - if you're holding the charge on an Inflict Light Wounds, I'm pretty sure you can touch as part of a Full Attack Action and hit people normally with the rest of your iterative attacks...

Makes sense. Thanks again, Mr Smurf.
