Has anyone begun to wonder about who the ten races (and their subraces) are going to be Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms? ;) We have already seen some of them in the Kickstarter. The Hanataka Tengu, the Fuyo-ren and the Enkoh. Humans obviously are going to be in this setting. It looks like there will be an Asian version of the Dragonborn (very likely modeled after whatever kinds of Asian dragons are going to be here). :) Almost forgot about the Turtle-like Ryokido. 😋

I can imagine quite a number of races in 5e D&D could probably be imported into this setting as subraces. The Bakemono Goblin, for example. :)

Have any of the folks skeptical of Loot Tavern, looked at their webpage? I mean it might not answer their questions, but I haven't really seen it referenced.

It's Home by the way. They have lots of samples of their stuff on their socials too eg. https://www.instagram.com/loottavern/
Honestly, I would rather see a list of reviews. That they have produced a bunch of stuff is essentially irrelevant given they are obviously an art/finishing house, not a game developer.

Kitsune is another one.

There is one race outside of 5e D&D that I wish I could see in Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms- the Shenxue or Spirit-Born from Heroes of the Jade Oath. The Shenxue were that setting's equivalent of the Planetouched. Sometimes they were the offspring between one of the Material Plane races and an individual from the Spirit Realm. At other times, they were a spirit that took on a mortal form.

Some of the Shenxue were like the Guardinal descended Aasimar I wish were in 5e, other Shenxue were sort of like the Genasi in that they embodied something elemental about them.
