S&S's Creature Collection 2 Updated to 3.5

Hello People,

In the If you want it done right, do it yourself line....

I've began creating a master monster index in MS Access so I can easily plan out random encounters & Monster plots in my game.

So, I'm Starting alphabetically with those books I have...

I've entered Book of Fiends by Green Ronin & Creature Collection Revised by Sword & Sorcery.

Now, I'm going to enter Creature Collection II. I was wondering if there was a 3.5 update file anywhere? (Similar to what WotC did with MMII)?

Anything out there? Or will I have to do it myself?

Thanks,

Not only will you probably have to do it yourself, you will then be -FORCED- to share it with the rest of us, young man.

You might want to check this out...

Not what I'm looking for. (but close).

What I'm putting together allows you to select a Climate, Terrain Type, and CR & gives a complete list of monsters that fit that criteria.

Later on, I plan to add options like Alignment, Size, etc.

But, the first step is to enter all the data.

I've spent (probablly) close to 500 dollars on monster books, and spend days leafing through them all looking for teh perfect monster.

When my database is complete, I can just enter what I want & I'll get a list of monsters I have that meet that criteria.

In the long run, it will save me time & make for much more diverse encounters for my party.

A noble goal, and a great method to get there. Good luck!

I recognized a few creatures from Creature Collection II in Monster Geographica: Marsh and Aquatic. Among them were the stench toad (called a filth belcher), flayed giant (merchant's bane), red piscean (Russet diver; why they didn't include the other pisceans is beyond me), leeching willow (bloodlust tree), and swamp tyrant (mire horror).

How about this?

Monstrous Index

I'm surprised about how few people know about this site. It's one of my all time favourites.

I'd be happy to assist if you need some assistance. I got plenty of time to kill. Mostly I'd do the descriptive part if you needed assistance.

Ok.

Here is what I've done. I've finished the A's & started on the B's.

I'm not fully converting the stat blocks to 3.5 (i.e. lines for BAB, Grapple, etc), but I am makeing sure the monsters are fully 3.5 Conversions; Skill Points, Feats, Monster Type & Subtype for some). I'm not trying to make a 'perfect' conversion; Iron Will & Weapon Focus often are used to fill empty 'Feat Slots'. I;m not messing with Climate/Terrain much (unlike CCI & CC Revised). I'm also erring on the side of caution with CR, only messing with those who get a serious bump in power.

I've just made marks in pencil, I have no Soft Copy. I might make an actual word doc, but can I share it, or do I need to send it to S&S or get their permission first.

If this emerges into a full-force conversion doc, then your expertise on teh Scarred Lands would be invaluable. Particulaly in tightening up the Climate Terrain Home Plain issues in the book.

Thanks for the offer. Let's see how much demand is out there for a 3.5 Creature Collection II.
