Sage Advice: How much does the D&D Insider subscription cost?

But you could do this with a scanner or copier and put the magazine away.

Extra work over just getting a digital copy and hitting print? Nah. Adding in the fact that I'm getting a suite of tools to go with it, it's still a far better deal to me than a physical copy of a magazine with no tools.

...I'm waiting for you to start dealing with facts and logic instead of making things up or ignoring information that has been publicly released....

...Only if you're daft enough to fail to download the PDFs in which they are compiled.

Let's try to be a little more civil to one another, please.

I'll try my best.

Can we also get a statement about sticking to facts instead of repeating falsehoods that have already been disproven? Civility is easier to maintain when everyone is being honest.

I still just want a subscription rate for just the magazines.

The digital "tools" have zero value to me, I cannot make full use them.

Mac user? Remember, only the Character Creator's 3D and the VTT are DirectX... the rest of the tools should work just fine on a new Intel Mac (and on older ones with emulation tools). Maybe they'll come up with a subscription that removes the 3D stuff for a lower price.

Sure. Not everyone knows that their 'facts' may be rumors. Lots of people will always have outdated or slightly inexact information, and the polite thing to do is to point out corrections without coming across as rude or abusive. You may have to do this many times with many people, and that's probably just a fact of life. But quoting incorrect information doesn't mean that people are lying, and having correct data doesn't mean that everyone will agree with your conclusions.

Patience is important. Civility is important. They can also be difficult or frustrating, but we ask that everyone work towards them.

We have a great 4e information page here at ENWorld, and I keep up-to-date because of it. I guess I just expect other posters to do the same. The misinformation in this thread could have easily been remedied if more people read that, since it's the most comprehensive source for facts we have right now. In the future, I'll try and make more of an effort to simply point them to the particular entries on the page for them to get informed.

I'm trying my best. As noted before, I'm a strident person, so it isn't always intentional.

Funny side note... on other forums, I often see references to how ENWorld lets pro-4e say whatever they want, while the anti-4e crowd is harshly moderated... but I'm a prime example that this is a totally false accusation, being a very pro-4e person and moderated whenever I get too harsh.

I know you're working, and goodness knows I appreciate it. Thank you for that.

I think a lot of folks in the 4e forum are more casual browsers than a lot of our regular posters. As a result, they might be operating on more misinformation than someone who regularly checks the news. I would much rather educate these folks than turn them away; you never know who's going to become a really fun, long-term poster here.

Even us 4gnostics get moderated.
