Arise, thread.

Every few years I re-read the entire saga; I often do so on the message boards, even though StevenAC’s incredible PDFs exist and are awesome. But I enjoy the nostalgia of the message board banter.

Those of you familiar with my longstanding fanboyishness will know that I am still convinced that Mrs. Horn dressed in tight-fighting black leather was the secret mastermind behind all evil plots my favorite part of the entire saga is the Het Branoi sequence. So inspiring that I have shamelessly looted the core idea for not one but two different of my own campaigns.

I was struck by this comment regarding Part 225

And now, one of my favorite runs of the whole campaign. [Sagiro]

This refers to the part in which Kibi enters the Vree’s Machine and all Hell breaks loose. (Err… all The Abyss / Far Realms breaks loose?) It’s so, so, so damn good.

Here’s the link:
Sagiro's Story Hour Returns (new thread started on 5/18/08)

Enjoy.

That is all.

I was just looking at the PDFs I keep in Dropbox of StevenAC's summaries, thinking it's about time for a re-read :)

You're so right, that's a great session. "Taken to the Cleaners". I don't know if we appreciate the cleverness of the session titles enough.

One of my favorite moments, in a campaign with an embarrassment of riches in that area, is when Kibi summons Scree, and the description of that ritual. Just brilliant stuff. I can't find it in the forums to link it, but it occurs in the Heroes of the Kalkas Peaks session, on July 1 in game time.
