Sahak of the nine colors! Spells and stuff.

cold? COLD! I've got the friggin' flu, and it sucks more than a california blonde (no offense to anyone intended).

Btw, what did you think of my comments on the grafts in my former post?

Well, I must admit, that the undead grafts are supposed to give some hindrances on top of the benefits. Mobility suffers, dexterity suffers etc. But, some of the Lightning Graft doesn't suffer from the same hindrances, neither does the Lifeseed Grafts. The Steam Grafts are supposed to be the cheap, brute strength grafts, whereas the other are more specialised and doesn't give that much hindrances...

Yes, but they make up for it with a higher cost. Also, they should leave something usefull behind when destroyed. (Not the steam grafts, the two other ones) Such as magic stones, gems, or something similar.

A magic stone by the way is a one shot, relatively weak, magic item that can be activated as a standard action by anyone. The spells in a magic stone are of level 0 to 2. popular spells in a magic stone include the following: Aid, Mage Armor, Cure Light Wounds, Light, Darkness, and, Snilloc's Snowball Swarm.

But if I where you, I would go with gems... That should make up for an eventuall higher challenge that the grafted creatures become.

True, good ideas about the Gems. I am really getting alot of input on the Grafts, its so confusing at times (some say overpowered, some say underpowered, some say "Great, but dont they alter CR?"). Sob, sob.... my life used to be so simple...

Well, they shouldn't alter the CR, instead they should alter the treasure of the base creature, for example one lightning graft could alter a Ghasts treasure from standard, to standard plus 1d3 gems. As a higher treasure rate seems to drop the creatures CR, for example the Dragon Turtle has a CR of only 9 but a triple standard entry for treasure. And trust me, a well played Dragon Turtle can wipe out a party with an average level of 13 quite easily (it breathweapon is incredibly nasty).

Patience my apprentice...

Unless you tell me the differences between the three types of grafts, I will not be able to help you. I know that the steam grafts are at least partly mechanical and steam powered (well, duh), but what about the Lightning Grafts and the other one? (can't remember it's name at the moment.)

Give me at least a little info about each type (a short paragraph will do), and I *might* be able to give you some ideas...
