I'm starting a Half-Dragon Fighter character and have a question about skills. I remember reading somewhere that you get to keep the base creatures' skill list. That would mean my skill list is a combination of the fighters skill list, and the dragon skill list, correct?

I'm starting a Half-Dragon Fighter character and have a question about skills. I remember reading somewhere that you get to keep the base creatures' skill list. That would mean my skill list is a combination of the fighters skill list, and the dragon skill list, correct?

Half-dragons don't have their own skill list - you use the skill list of the untemplated creature. This only comes into play if you're half-dragon/half-something-with-hit-dice. If you were a half-dragon/half-human, you have no 'monster levels' or inherent skill list. if you were, say, a half-dragon/half-troll, you would get the troll's skill list, but at 6+Int ranks/hit die.

Remember that it works just like multiclassing - you could spend your 'monster skill ranks' on the troll's skill list, and your fighter skill ranks on the fighter list, but if you buy skills off of those lists, it will still cost you double - even if they are on the other skill list. The only thing you actually combine the lists for is the list of skills that maxes out at lvl+3 ranks (instead of half that)
