Savage Tide in Xen'drik (Chris & Matt stay out!)

I'm running a campaign based out of Stormreach (instead of Sasserine), and I'd like to run the Savage Tide AP. Here are some conversion ideas I've had:

There Is No Honor
1) Castle Teraknian with the Citadel of The Twelve
2) The Vanderboren vault is in House Kundarak
3) Rowyn Kellani is a member of House Thuranni

These are just some initial ideas. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm curious as to how this would work thematically.

We're doing AoW now in Eberron and there are some issues. It's -OK- (and the DM is working it well) but there are just some powergroups and world assumptions that don't mesh well with regular DnD.

Is Savage Tides better on this front?

Just a couple things off the top of my head (I've thought about this but don't really have any material down):

I was also thinking of using Stormreach as the base city, possibly with the PCs starting there after somehow having gotten stuck in the last days of the War (lone unit survivors, soldiers AWOL or abandoned by nation, ship sunk, etc).

My thoughts to make Stormreach divided up like Sasserine was to give a different House control of each city section, sort of like Berlin after WW2. The Houses might have occupied the city at some point during the war in order to ensure that it remained a neutral port.

The other thing I was thinking of would be to put the Isle of Dread off the coast of Argonneson, in order to give it a more menacing feel.

I thought the Citedal of the twelve was in Karrnath?

you might want to use the Coin lords instead.
There's a Citadel of the Twelve in Stormreach that's described in Secrets of Xen'drik.

I was thinking of replacing the Dawn Council with the Coin Lords.

For the Isle of Dread, there's a group seven islands off the northwest coast of Xen'drik that I thought might work. The big one is called Kapaerian Island. You might be right about using Argonnessen though - the IoD is supposed to be a pretty long haul.

See, now you made me get my books out to check on stuff. ;)

From Stormreach to Argonnesson looks around 4000 miles, which is about twice what the trip in Sea Wyvern's Wake seems to be. Still seems like it would work pretty well though. I especially like the thought of dropping Tamoachan in a remote part of Aerenal. And Lhazzar pirates would make a good substitue for the Crimson fleet (though I'm sure there's plety of pirates of Xendrik, too).

Fair's fair - I had to get out my books to check on stuff too! :)

This was my original thought for the voyage of the Sea Wyvern:

The trip in the adventure is supposed to be 3000 miles, and the Isle of Dread is supposed to be about 250 miles long. I measured out the path in red to 3000 miles, and the island I marked is about the right size. Going around the first big island could be justifiable by an unpassable strait between it and the mainland.

But I like your ideas too. I don't know anything about the old Tamoachan adventures... what were they about?
