(save maintains) ?

Have we seen any effects that are maintained due to a successful save?

I really like the save ends mechanic for durations for ongoing effects and I figured it could work just as easily the other way around.

It may not be needed as a mechanic... cause it's basically a weird skill check... or am I missing something?

That way is a bit too swingy for my tastes. Personally I like what they are doing with using a minor action to sustain effects. It doesnt inhibit you from being effective in combat, but at the same time it balances how much you can pile on at once.

It could, but the general formula seems to be that sustainable, beneficial effects cost actions on the part of the caster--not sure how this would stack up balance wise yet.

Use it for things you want to be swingy.
