Scarred Land discussion/debate: Slacerians and Ratmen

Well my weekend met with some success, SL wise. I at least got ONE of my friends to read Warrens and make a Ratman character. It was an Unseeing mind you, but I house ruled the ELC at +4, since it didn't have much in the way of spell like abilities. He's a Monk LN, and thinking about Shadow Dancing. I decided to run it in Hollowfaust. :) But unfortunately naught came of it since someone else, (who shall remain nameless), decided HE wanted to run a game...and all my SL stuff fell by the way side.

How useful is Warrens of the Ratmen if you don't have either of the Creature Collection? I'm not a big fan of monster books.

It's still fairly useful, as you can use some other broods not detailed in either Kruggy. I especially would enjoy using the Storm Chasers and Black Pelts myself. Plus you can use it for making PCs out of it, (though I'd be careful about that as I feel the ELCs on Red Witch, Stalker, Daywalker and White Wraith are off by 1 ELC. I made them all but Red Witch +4, Red Witch +3.)

Was hoping they'd be included to make it more 'complete'. Should have left out the adventure as far as I'm concerned...

Not sure I understand where you going with that Kruggy. Personally while I can understand why some might want to get so they don't have to mess around getting all the books, it's just the way things have gone.

Do you mean, perhaps, Slarecians?

Sheesh... if anyone would get that right, you'd think it'd be Nightfall. :p
