Besides the monster books, relics and campaign books- are there books that are a must to run the Scarred Lands or are really good for content?

Divine and Defeated I think is essential. Beyond that I think it depends upon where you want to run your campaign and the kind of creatures and characters in it. If you have a paladin in your group, the Mithril book gives a lot of good background on Corean's Paladins. If you are going to play a setting where politics are important, the Calastia book gives great information on the land that is probably the most active across Ghelspad. The Vigil Watch books give good info on the Ratmen and Aassathi and their society which can add a lot more depth to the campaign than just using the creatures from the Creature Collection.

What does Vesh consider its northern border? The southern shore of the Blood Basin and its major rivers?
Yep.

Divine and the Defeated as Thonrir said. Also the Player's Guide are really quite use for both players and DMs. Hollowfaust, Shelzar, Hornsaw and Wilderness and Wastelands are also very nice. The Vigil Watch series has dramatically improved and I hope to see more like Secrets but with more focus like Warrens.

On the map of Lave ....

I too have been needing this, as my players are going to be eventually playing in the Serpent series of modules. Knowing my group, when they get to a city, they want to do and see everything.

So, I was stuck. Until I opened a book I had for quite some time, on my shelf.

Seven Cities, by Matt Forbeck, published by Penumbra.

EXCELLENT DM's accessory. If you dont have this, get it. 7 cities, from small towns, to large cities, all keyed. As larger cities are used, the keys advance with the map.

Now, for the Lave map, for those who have this book, I'm using the Large Town.
The SLCS: Ghelspad book says that Lave has 30K people. The Large Town in the 7 Cities book (page 87) says it accomodates about 5K people.

This doesnt bother me, as my players aren't going to know every detail of Lave, just the top 20-30 Poi's TOPS. I can use the Large Town map as a layout, and make the city of Lave seem like it holds 30K people.
But the layout of the Large Town is perfect, with the river on it's east side. Most of the generic keys are fine too, and one can easily overwrite a few keys to match THEIR rendition of Lave.

any errrata for RR-2 ?

I ran across a post ( well actually it was a reply to a review of Releics and Ritual 2) in EN-Reviews which alluded to errata concerning several spells found within RR-2. Anyone have an idea where (web preferred ) to look for that stuff ?

thanks a bunch

Yes I do. It is in the web based S&SS Insider mag. Here's the link: S&SS Insider/WW Quarterly

I just finished with all of the "splat" books that are out for the Scarred Lands PC classes. I can honestly say tha6t they did more for me as far as educating on the world and itys flavor than any of the hardbacks. They are full of information and ideas and are great for players to read to get them more involved with the world.
