Scarred Lands big sale.. whats up?

Whats the deal with Swords & Sorcery and the huge sale they are having on most all thier D20 materials? My best friend and I just picked up the entire Scarred Lands campaign setting for a song. Every single book. I've heard its a good setting and so far the reviews on Enworld seem to support that, though I can't seem to find reviews on the support material for the Scarred Lands like Hallowfaust, or Mithril.

Someone told me that a rumor was going around that White Wolf is getting out of the D20 trade. Can anyone substantiate that?

Well, Scarred Lands as a setting is over, so they might just be clearing out inventory space. I haven't heard of many new releases by Sword and Sorcery though nor have I heard of an upcoming releases.

Looking at their upcoming releases through August, aside from books from other companies like Malhovk and ?Necromancer I saw only one that might be d20 fantasy, but ther description didn't say.

Does anyone here have anything to say about Scarred Lands? We literally purchased every book (except the Gazeteers) yesterday, so it wont be until late next week that we see the material. Was this a good investment of a couple hundred bucks? I currently have both Creature Collections, which I would call fair to below average in quality, but Ritual and Relics 1 which I also have is a good book.

Reviews here on Enworld speak well of the Main book and give fair reviews on the GM screen, but nothing is said of the splatbooks, or the supporting materials.

I like wjhat I have, but I've nver run the setting. Like all product lines it has its hits and mises. I like the feel of the world and there are many interesting groups of movers and shakers.

I liked the setting. I only bought two books though. I have a very, very strict $40/month limit that I put on myself. Scarred Lands books were good, but the setting wasn't quite enough to make me break my limit.

Of course, now that it's no longer here, I want it all and I'm feeling guilty that I didn't pick up more in the past.

The setting books are interesting. They provide a lot of campaign ideas. Hallowfaust is my favorite for sheer originality in creating a lawful good city of necromancers.
