scarred lands calander

Oh, I am keeping track of time as well and stick to the calendar. But I am rather flexible with the moon-phases, for two reasons:

1) The amount of moonlight is sometimes vital for me to set a mood. So, I choose the moonphase according to the mood I want to set. (As long as it stays within a certain logic, of course).

2) As I had mentioned earlier, in the Scarred Lands, the moons don't always follow a predictable course. There is at least the example set in the Mithril source book... And if Belsameth's moon can keep his position and phase over months once, why shouldn't it do that on other occasions as well?

Hi Everyone,

I've done some work on the Scarn Calander I did a while ago, as an attempt to include phases of the moon.

I've posted the files in a folder in the Scarntalk list.

Note that you will have to download and install the font also in the folder.

The folder is located in http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scarntalk/files/scarn calander/

I hope you find this useful. It does not yet include The Nameless Orb, as I have no starting point for it's cycle, and it's appearance varies each month/year (unlike Belsameth's Moon, which is in the same phase each month).

I can print the file but the icons look like vacation spots. How do I add the correct font?

Thanks for setting it up btw ;)

NP.

Adding the font depends on the O/S you are using on your PC - if you can open the word document, try checking out the word help on fonts.

I use WinXP (and I'm pretty sure it was the same in 2000 - can't remember '95/'98/NT) - in that I open the control panel, and there is a fonts folder shown. I simply drop the font into the fonts folder, and it's then available (you may have to restart word though).

Good luck,

Duncan

where is the font portion that I need to copy over, what you posted doesn't seem to have anything I can copy over????

San, what OS are you running?

You need to download the "Moon.TTF" from the yahoo group where you got the calander file.

Then you will need to add the font to your computer, which depends on your operating system.

If you are running Windows, have a look in "Control Panel". If you see a folder in there labelled "Fonts" then you open that folder and DROP "MOON.TTF" into it.
