Mercane sage

I've been working up this mercane sage of the phylactric vault, with his natural planer knowledge coupled with his ranks, skill focus and intiligent mod. his modifier for knowledge the planes is 41 - this guy could probably send them not only back to the FR but back to their old rooms in their favorite inn. so what is his knowledge worth?

Probably I'd say at least 5,000 gp. Mininium. Sages don't come cheap and planar travel, even less so. It's not like there's a lot of people going back and forth between the planes in Scarn. I would say 5,000 is the lowest he will ever go. Highest....probably 45 k. So some where around there sounds good to me San.

sage knowledge

I was thinking in the neighborhood of 50-75k after all his friggin modifier is 41 so I figure he is one of the best informed mortals on scarn when it comes to planer travel

Pretty rich neighborhood.

But hey if you want to charge that much, be my guest. Just like to point again, planar travel isn't something done by many non-magical types. Even then, it's not exactly a household thing.

exactly! and since the Barbarian with ALL his social graces ( or should I say lack thereof . . . ) is the one who walked up and made contact with him. the cost just went up!

I figure if its too easy or cheap then I have 2 players who will have to roll up new characters.
