Well, I guess thats one way of looking at it. Maybe I'll do that....

On the other hand, I guess maybe we should post more detailed info about our campaigns as they develop. That way we can think tank our way through this. If I'm going to steal ideas, I should leave a few out there for someone else to borrow.

What do you guys think? Should we start working on a shared world as it were?

With the Dragonstar universe, you don't necessarily have to have one world the universe is big, as it is stated in the Guide to the Galaxy over a 1000 worlds which when I see a new campaign world I place it within the Dragonstar universe in and place them in between two dragon domains like I did with Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk is I placed them between the red and the Blue dragon domains since I saw those two Factions aways fighting since Mezzenbone wants as much magic items he can get his hands on and I brought back Lazalius as a draco-liche even though Fantasy Flight games commented on something that his body was not found to resurrect.
I was also going to introduce the Dwarven Mafia as a faction with Draco-liche Lazalius and his Wraith Army of Dragonians too. Which my Dragonians did not spit Acid or anything that the Dragonlance Draconians do.
I would help out a community supported website with my ideas and I get talk some of the old Dragonstar supporters as well. I know Neo is in the process of upgrading his starship construction rules to be universal and 3.5 complient. We just need someone eho could spend a little bit more time on the website and make it look nice and neat. So if anyone is up for the task, let me know I will frequent it alot and get others to do the same.

All of that would be true IF I were using Dragonstar, read my earlier post, I said nothing about it. I looked into it to be sure, but the stuff I read didnt seem to sit well with me (which is a shame, because I really liked the ideas behind it and spelljammer).

For the campaign I'm building, one world is plenty enough. The idea that space travel is possible is enough for me, and might drive some of the industry and sciencetific development. On the other hand, aside from finding out if earth is still intact, there really is no reason to go back. These colonists would be reluctant to try it again just to find a different place to live, after all, they have a hard enough time on this planet, who knows if the next one will be better (or probably worse).

Anyhow, I mentioned I was going to use Chaoistech. To tell the truth until now, I had no reason to read it. (I got it as a gift.) Last night I tried again, and bogged down in the section about cults. So I decided to skip ahead. Man that stuff is awesome! I now have a rival city that uses only chaositech (its leader is mad), and outfits the 'primitives' with it. Its kinda like a twisted opposite of normal magitech. Mapping is almost done on a global scale, I'll be working on the main regions soon.

If Dragonstar or Gamma World isn't doing it for you, there's also X-Crawl, Star Wars, Fading Suns, Traveller, Armageddon:2089, and, coming soon, Trinity, all in D20 form.
