Scoop: Dungeon/Polyhedron Changes

Dang it, I'll probably have to break down and get a darn subscription, now. I've resisted all these years... :D I still don't care about Poly, but more adventures makes it more worthwhile.

OT: I also recommend DireKobold for adventures.

Curses, by reducing the size of poly and guaranteeing multiple adventures they are quickly disposing of my reason for not subscribing. Soon they may have me in their evil clutches, I fear. :D

BRAVO!

Big step in the right direction. Looks like they're trying to solve all of the things I was annoyed by, which to me means that when my renewal notice comes I'll be signing on again.

If anyone from Dungehedron is reading this... one suggestion that I have is to try taking the more successful minigames and make supplements out of them, similar to how Fantasy Flight Games is doing with their HORIZON series. This way, the better minigames can be contained in 64/96/128 page (or whatever) books.

Just an idea...

Thanks
Chris

Hurray!

I am a current Dungeon subscriber, who was regretfully considering not renewing my subscription. But the news about the changes from Erik Mona are exactly what I was hoping to hear. I don't really use the Polyhedron stuff at all, but I am willing to tolerate it in my magazine if it doesn't take up most of it. And the change of doing away with the upside down half sound very good to me. For some reason I myself don't fully understand, having half the magazine backwards just really annoyed me. Hurray Dungeon!

Hooray! These changes might actually make it worth my while to buy it again. I've never been a subscriber to Dungeon and the subscriber only stuff definitely kept me from buying issues lately. Why? Because when I saw all of the stuff that I was missing just because I wanted to buy it off the stand, I felt cheated. Right or not, this is how it made me feel.

How you feel is only up to you, but..

I wonder if people actually LOOKED at the subscriber only section that they felt ripped off not getting?

I mean, last issue was a reprint of an old adventure (chasm bridge or whatever) updated to 3.5
I didn't mind, it was a neat bonus, but I can't see paying for it.

I also hope I don't get less as a subscriber now, but even then, I'm happy with the mag and will continue to be happy!
:)

What got me, as a subscriber, was that we didn't have the rear cover (postal stuff) so it was pointless.

But, I like the Poly stuff (not only minigames) so I hope they keep up the good stuff.
