Scorpion bigger than human described

Looks familiar, but I could have sworn it was called "Before the Dinosaurs" when I saw it. Maybe they're two different but very similar shows?

I love stuff like this :)

Did anybody catch Walking With Monsters on the Discovery Channel? They had a section abaout the Silurian period, 410 million years ago, where the scorpians domonated the land and preyed on our distant fishy ancestor, the Alaspis. Great stuff.
Is that Batlle for the Planet: Origins? If so, I have in on VCD.

Yeah, it's the same show. I'm not sure why they gave it two totally different names

I think (and I could be wrong), Origins: Battle for the Planet focused mainly on the sea, right before land animals evolved (I haven't actually seen it).

Walking with Monsters/Before the Dinosaurs kinda picks up after that. When animals were just coming out of the sea and up until the dinosaurs.

Yeah, kinda. Although it was disappointing that we didn't get to see more of the "dynastic warfare" between the therapsids and the archosaurs. They really needed one more segment in the Ischigualasto formation of Argentina showing off the big thecodont predators like Saltosuchus starting to replace the therapsids, and the arrival of the very first dinosaurs like Eorapter and Herrerasaurus. The show ended just a little bit too soon without really getting all the way up to the dinosaurs, IMO.

Still, it is an excellent program!
