Well, it's getting there....getting there.
Guys, I'm a little distracted with RL right now. Found a water leak in the master bathroom over the weekend. After emptying a 6x8 closet with 5 ft deep of clothes (lower foot completely soaked) in it, we found the leak in the wall behind the shower. Water is coming up out of the slab at the base of the cut-off. Based on the drywall damage, must have been leaking slowly for months. Plumber yesterday couldn't find the water supply line with 3.5 hours of digging in the clay under my slab (12 in slab and 20 in footer). Oh, and we found free-loaders living in the outside wall opposite the leak. So that's our next project.... I told my wife to not bring any of her "pets" from the house in Austin.
My $500 repair turned into a $1000 repair when the plumber had to run a new supply line from the sidewalk to the house. We could not find the old supply line between the sidewalk and the footer. I never realized the excavation guys charge by the foot! No more leak. But.... The plumbers missed with the first hole through the wall. It went through the wall of our man-made marble shower. Only off by 3 inches... Now we have to deal with the plumber's remodelling guys to repair our shower. Looks like the freeloaders have taken over 4 studs from the corner of the house. The poison appears to have upset them. Now to remove the damaged wood and start the repairs.
