Scrying & Polymorph Other

Scry only works on a person, not an object, not a place (although you can see anything present in the scry)
Clairvoyance only works on a place, not an object or a person (again, allowing you to see what's present)
Locate object only lets you determine the direction in which said object lies. It doesn't allow you to find a person or creature. I guess if the creature was the victim of flesh to stone you could, but I digress
If the ring were part of the polymorphed creature? Hrm...
The SRD mentions that Polymorph Object will foil a Locate Object spell. I'd say your situation is pretty much wide open to interpretation, but I'd say that the ring would still be detectable.
