Right. Yes. ~10 relatively minor issues is a major screw-up! 🙄

EDIT: The only big screw-up for me is the ranger. It still boggles my mind how they managed to make it both better and worse at the same time!
my stunned person with full movement and 30ft tall giants 'sneaking' in broad daylight unable to be seen beg to differ.

If your groups are insisting "that's the way the rules read," in defiance of all logic, play with a better group.
the problem is that none of the rules had any proof reading. If you play raw, this happens. So many of the 5.5 changes REQUIRE rai because they ignored all feedback. The goal was to push out a reason to buy new books, not well thought changes.

I would argue that you can’t be stealthy while stunned. By RAW, you can move but I’d describe it as stumbling around. You can’t take actions, so you can’t deliberately be stealthy.

Every book, no matter how well tested, is going to have something phrased in a way that will require everyone to say "well, that's phrased dumb; it has to mean ______."

If you play with people who absolutely refuse to play this way, they're the ones causing problems at your table, not WotC or Paizo or Chaosium or anyone else.

My impression here is that the second part of the statement about talking and casting spells was cut and I assume that it was a mistake.

In grad school, we were required to do a short course on publishing and editing. Our first assignment, in groups of four, was to find every divergence between four different editions of the same short text.

Errors happen. In a publication this large, which is also an update but not identical to a very well known text, there will be more. Even after copious proofing. The world is an imperfect place. The best you can do is fix the errors when they are caught.

If it was a mistake, it hasn't been corrected (yet).

That being said, the sentence about the spell ending early if the target runs out of THP is now back on DDB!
