Sculpt Spell and Grease

Can these two work together? What do you think?

The question is mainly aimed at the following 'problem': The area for Grease is a 10-ft. square, while Sculpt Spell only offers cylinder, cone, line and cubes.

If it works, it will surely just affect the squares, which are covered by the area, not fill the whole area.

RAW? Doesn't work. In my game? I'd allow it. (But bear in mind that I don't overpower grease by allowing it to be used for "always on" Dexterity denial, for instance. So I'm comfortable with bending the rules in favor of it in this case.)
