Sealed In Blood - Chapter 1, Party A

"Not helpful? Can you do much better on your own, sweetheart?"
He pause to inhale deeply his cigarette's smoke.
"You don' remember anything, so he probably erased your memory. I have no idea why. The Master is the Ancient Pit Fiend Luz'Noc, who owns our souls. You will leave this place as soon as your part of the bargain is fulfilled. You'll have to complete some tasks for him. Or you could try to win back your soul out of strenght or cleverness. Good luck either way."

"Not helpful? Can you do much better on your own, sweetheart?"

"That name is beginning to irritate me." Tracy says. "I'd appreciate it if you called me by my name."

"No, that much I do remember." She says, shaking her head and crossing her arms over her chest. "I recall the name... I just didn't recognize it, with you calling him 'Master', and all."

"You seem to know quite a bit about Luz'Noc, and what he's planning or doing." She says, raising an eyebrow at Jack. "Do you know what we're supposed to do, to fulfill our 'part of the bargain'?"

"As for trying to win our souls back through strength or skill... I don't necessarily know if that's a possibility."

She pauses for a moment, regarding Jack. "What are you going to do?"

"No, I don't know what he'll command us, this time. I think I'll just wait for him to show up. I am a patient sort, sweetheart. Besides, it's been time since I had such an interesting company. Anyone up for a little game among friends?"
A deck of cards appears out of nowhere in Jack's right hand and cards immediately start flying into his left hand.

"What do you mean, 'this time'?" Tracy asks. "I don't remember going through this before..."

She narrows her eyes at Jack. "I thought I told you not to call me that anymore. Do it again, and I will shoot you."

"Anyone up for a little game among friends?"

"Hmm..." Tracy considers. "I will join you. Something to do, I suppose. What game...?"

"Well if these good people are won't awake from the dreams the master filled their mind with, I'd say a game of Gin is in ordere between us."
Jack leans towards Tracy, and speaks in a low voice.
"Or would you rather play something more exciting and dangerous, something like Blackjack, sweetheart?"

OOC: Jack readies the same action as before :)

"Ooh, Blackjack, how dangerous." Tracy says, rolling her eyes. "But sure, I'll go with that."

Her hand goes reflexively to her gun as Jack calls her 'sweetheart' once again, but she does not pull it.

"I said to call me Tracy." She says quietly. "Now deal."

The cards dance in Jack's hands as if they were little fairies, there's quite an art in what he's doing.
He suddenly stops and puts two cards with their face down on an immaginary table in front of Tracy, then another pair in front of himself. The cards remain suspended in mid air.

"It's your turn to open the stakes. What are you willing to lose?"

Jack waits for Tracy's answer, with a thin smile on his face. When Tracy decides, her two cards and one of Jack's turn face up alone.

Aedon has been standing in a corner watching the others.
"Come fair maiden" he says to Tracy, "wouldst thou seek to harm your true and trusted friends? Surely there are better ways to show your Piqued."
The Storm God walks toward the assembled group Thinking he hears thunder at each footfall.
"Verilly we have much to discuss but let us not be so tempermental. Shadowed one, Would you fetch me a chair?" He says to Jack.

Aedon looks around for his steed. "Where is fair Storm? I would have my celestine mount here with me."

Aedon
"Come fair maiden, wouldst thou seek to harm your true and trusted friends? Surely there are better ways to show your Piqued."

Her gun is out, pointed at Aedon, before she begins to speak.

"'True and trusted friends', eh?" She asks, looking up at him from the game of cards. "I have no reason to trust any of you. I don't know you, and as far as I know, have never met you. And for me having 'better ways' to show I'm 'piqued'... I could just shoot you, rather than threaten. Would you prefer that?"
