Search Request - Found!

I fear this one will be a tough one to find...
I seem to remember that there was a "semi-announcement" that WotC would publish a small list of rules items that no longer exist in 3.5. The main example was Ambidexterity. I'm not sure who was attributed to have said this - I kind of want to say Charles Ryan, but it may have been someone else.

If someone wants to search for that, thanks in advance!:)

Hm. A few quick searches don't turn up anything. At least, not anything I, not having read the thread in question, recognize. Or was it more than 6 months ago?

It could easily be older than that, I'm not fully sure. Now that I think about it, the time might be closer to the release of Complete Warrior (November 2003)...

I remember reading something along those lines as well. Release of Complete Warrior sounds like the right time, but I don't think it was Charles Ryan. Might've been Ed Stark, since he was one of the authors of that book. For some reason I wanna think it was in one of MerricB's threads where he posts things designers and other WotC people have said over at the WotC boards.

Hope this helps.

Merric posts way too much.
Anyway, I found it. And a precursor to that thread, as well.

Q. I heard that somoene talked with Ed Stark, and they are preparing a list of "dead" classes & Feats. Could this be true?

Ed: "Well, yes and no. We consider anything not revised to be official with 3.5. However, we have talked about putting together a short list of non-revised bits of material that should slide out of the game. For example, we all know Ambidexterity is no longer a part of the game.

"If I get something like that together, I will post it. It'll be a pretty short list, though."

Yes he does, which is why I didn't go hunting through all his threads for you. :)

Glad you found it though.

BTW, I also recall seeing somewhere over at the RPGA website, that as of sometime early this year any PrCs (and possibly feats, I'm not sure) from the 3.0 splatbooks that weren't updated in the 3.5 splatbooks will be dropped from Living Greyhawk. Dunno if that has any bearing on what you're looking for, but figured I'd toss it out in case.
